Class Management

I truly and strongly beleive that class management and discipline is all about self confidence. During my practicum, I learned that students can feel fear from teachers. Everything is about gestures and posture. I think that if I trust myself students will trust me and respect me. I did one presentation in my practicum and I got very red and nervous, and maybe my voice was trembeling a bit... The students definitly felt it and for them, it's party time !! I think that it is also why ''les remplacants'' often have a hard time. During last class, Mark pointed out that teachers have to fix their limits right from the beginning of the first class, in a nice and calm way as if you wanted to be the ''students' friend''. I strongly agree with that.
